11.12.11 - Love Sessions, WEDDINGS
I had the most wonderful call about 3 weeks ago, from Nooriza she wanted me to photograph her hubbie and herself for their 2 year wedding anniversary in their wedding outfits. What was puzzling to me, didn’t her Wedding Photographer takes some shots of the two of them on their wedding day? At which Nooriza, answered…”they told us they ran out of time and therefore no photos were taken of them together, on their wedding day!”…I thought I heard wrong, but can you imagine my sheer delight to have been booked to do this gig!…There’s a lesson to be learned here, as a seasoned Wedding Photographer myself, it is unjustifiable in my experience not to provide the very best images to your loyal clients of their Wedding day and this must include ALL the vital elements that make up a Wedding Day shoot especially those special shots of the couple, to avoid disappointment at all costs, as you simply can’t re-shoot anyone’s wedding day!
I was ready, set and focused on these two stunning love birds the moment they set foot in my studio recently and so was my brilliant make-up artist, who did an incredible make-up job and placed all the dazzling jewels on Nooriza. Their traditional outfits were “eye-candy”, the moment this sweet couple put on their outfits! We also conducted another shoot near the Sydney Harbour Bridge, an incrediably spectacular backdrop to our ”Love Session” photo shoot…Truly, I didn’t want to shoot them any other way, other than naturally enjoying their moment together with me and re-living their wonderful wedding day 2 years ago…Enjoy xox

I don’t know many people who don’t like a Wedding, that i know of. I for one, love being at a wedding in the background and being apart of making the dreams of a couple…magical in all aspects of their images. From a photographers point of view…(ummm, that’s me!)) it’s the excitement, the drama, adrenaline rush to get “that” shot – or else! vibe, first-time and hopefully…only-time and finally the emotion of a beautiful couple meeting and coming together in front of family and friends….In the video below features one such Wedding couple I adore, Troy and Katie are special to me, they ooze love, friendship and of course respect, and I really love the surroundings of their wedding location, 3 hours south of Sydney. It’s OFFICIAL.. the 2011 Wedding Season has kicked off with a bang! I’m excited as i’ll be shooting some weddings and also finishing my books as a balance to my all ready full workload! Recently I had the great pleasure of shooting Matt and Tamara in Kings Cross, Sydney. (The VIDEO of their shoot is also featured on my Facebook page). Kings Cross is a special place to them both as this is where they met…at Candy’s. They were the cutest couple to shoot on a Sunday morning after my morning coffee! Fairytale Wedding Kylie + James {Award Winning Wedding Photographer Zahrina}

The day started off raining, i was slightly worried for Kylie + James, however, i was really happy because the light was PERFECT for my shots! YAY! Kylie and James are a beautiful couple made of magic + love. I was soo happy to be asked to be their photographer, just over the moon! I found the perfect situ to shoot the rings and got the puzzling looks as well, all made for interesting and eye-catchin shots! As the day progressed, i was falling even more in love with the light. I arrived to greet Kylie in an elevator with hair in clips, hilarious, we nearly knocked each other out! When i left my shoot with Kylie she was truly glowing, just stunning with those beautiful big blue eyes!…I have no doubt James and Kylie will remember their Wedding day as the sunniest ever!! Hello and welcome…this is the 2nd half of my story following on from last week’s Blog posting. YAY!…I’m jumpin up and down with joy i can finally share these with YOU! The first half of our photographic journey started from the famous cliffs of Sydney and now i’m taking you on a discovery tour of wonderment with the beautiful Tiffany.
In many instances, i believe strongly in letting my images do the talkin!… So “Photography Celebrating Women” as i’ve titled this blog posting, is simply about showcasing the beauty in women, life and joy. I guess this is why for many reasons…I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS!
I’ll be reflecting upon this shoot for many moons to come…in essence it’s a celebration of WOMANHOOD through my mind and lenz.

You know when things are going to work out just fine, this was one of those DAYS!
It was just incredibly magical, everything just fell into place PERFECTLY! The weather, the vibe and I was on a high, i had my morning coffee! I knew exactly what i wanted from my shoot this day, i visualised the day and the shoot for a while and then it just all rolled out onto the red carpet. I picked up this incredibly stunning dress from Rhonda Hemmingway Couture and i was blown out of the water at how gracious and kind Rhonda was, to allow us the use of this stunning dress! Thank you Rhonda. My superstunning model Tiffany, “my mermaid to my visions” spent the day floating along to my directions incredibly well!
The seagulls, tourist and surf lifesavers were all lined up, watching Tiffany and i hang off the cliffs shooting. I had my good friend Toney with us, shooting video, Toney guarded the gear and kept a close eye on the numerous spectators, he’s a blast a Director in the making…

VALENTINES DAY Love Story {Sydney Wedding Photographer}
13.02.11 - WEDDINGS
This year’s Valentine couple and newlyweds to be, is the gorgeous Kylie and James! Every shoot has a story to tell and i love a story! On this particular day, i was sooo incredibly hooot, the temp gauge hit the highest recording of 45 degrees in 150 years! The heat was INSANE to say the least. I honestly think it was soo hot that day, the insects around us would not have survived! I guess from the images you couldn’t see the sweat beads dripping off poor James, let alone me! I even felt a bit faint shooting the two gorgeous love birds, but i had the water handy and i kept to my mission, to bring out their affection and true love. We had a blast, due to the heat i found some wonderful spots near the water that were just peeerrrfect for Kylie and James. Isn’t Kylie stunning, so fresh, she made sure her hair and make-up was done, i love a gal that’s prepared for her professional shoot, makes for great images! A good idea is not good to shoot in direct sunlight so shady areas are perfect for outdoor shoots. Most importantly, always check to make sure your subject is comfortable and relaxed, this will make for even better images, as it’s all about repore! We also had the cutest little puppy dog join us for a couple of shots, he was divine! I hope you enjoy the visual delights on a day that the weather made history and hopefully i captured cupid’s love!

There are brides and there are brides! Helen is my all time favourite for 2010. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Helen and Jason for the year leading up to their wedding day, they are just meant for each other. I must say, Helen your one special lady who just glowed on your wedding day, in fact your soo gorgeous my lens melted! Jason is a lucky man! The day was incredibly perrrfect, don’t you love those types of days. I turned up to meet Jason and his groomsmen’s, knocked once, knocked twice, no answer..hmmm, slowly the door opened, the boys were not ready! yippes! Jason had a mild panic attack, he quickly rallied the boys into getting ready and the rest is history, as they say. Jason met his beautiful bride Helen, at the alter and the champagne flowed afterwards! Apart from shooting the bride and groom getting ready, i get heaps of creative satisfaction shooting couples after their vows, it’s a real buzz! There was a horse and carriage nearby and i photographed the couple being in the moment and connecting.One of the nicest parts of my job is seeing the lovely interaction bridal couples have after the ceremony, they relax, let their hair down and i’m so glad to be apart of their special day, what a privilege.

Helen Moore: Well I was the bride! And Zahrina is just amazing! After seeing her website which was linked to Easy Weddings.com I was blown away by how beautiful, stunning and NATURAL her photos were. Two caught my eye in particular and that was the pregnant belly with the toddler and the orange cloth- WOW! And the other was a picture of an Indian elder- they weren't even wedding related but I was just won over by these pics. On meeting Zahrina at her studio Jason and I felt like we had known her for years! She was so friendly and has goes out of her way to gain a good understanding of her clients and their needs. Our pre-wedding shoot at Balmoral Beach were outstanding! Everyone comments on how "model-like" our photographs were but we just put it down to a fantastic photographer. On our wedding day even with all the dramas of the unsupervised (by females!!) groom party making everyone late, Zahrina was a cool and calm professional during it all! Our wedding day was awesome- picture perfect (excuse the pun!!) but like all wedding days it came and went much too quickly. Jason and I were quite disappointed it was all over! After our honeymoon, we meet with Zahrina to look at our photos- I was so emotional. Zahrina had managed to capture every part of our day and with the Internet link to our photos on her website we have been able to share this happy occasion all over again with family, friends and work colleagues. I cannot thank Zahrina enough for all she has done for us. I know when we decide to have babies we will be booking in our session to capture more of our special life memories. LOVE YOU Zz!! Welcome, that’s all it takes to say, for me to turn up! Weddings are one of life’s greatest events. It’s the beginning of a couple’s journey and i have had the greatest pleasure to shoot many loving unions, thank you!
Kate and Will, they were a fabulous couple! Their wedding day was completed drenched in sun and love… shooting this wedding in the world’s smallest church was a challenge! There is seating for only 30 people, but i’m sure 100 people turned up to witness the vows of this great couple! i had a great day shooting this vibrant wedding! We arrived at the cocktail reception to the most magnificent home. The cocktail party reception was simple and worked a treat. It really suited their personalities and made the most of the great outdoors! i shot this wedding using my telephone, wide angle and fixed lens on this wedding day. Happy Honeymoon you 2!
