Oooh it is literally Christmas Eve 2011 Santa’s coming down my chimney and I’m soo excited to capture my son’s face!! Where has this year disappeared?? I used to think the years are dragging on when I as a teenager, but now, with my own toddler, family and juggling a busy business, it’s all go, go GO! However, at this special time of the year, I really reflect on my achievements, how I have changed the lives of my clients, how I have helped my clients out in anyway possible! I must say, I’m proud to be putting my “gift” of photography to good use!! My latest shoot is Chloe, mum rang me as she saw me shooting at the Pinky McKay event, Sydney. We arranged for some shots of her beautiful daughter Chloe! And this little critter was soo cute I wanted to take her home! Chloe’s eyes were an amazing colour of blue and she just kept smiling at me! I was in heaven:))…Below are some shots from our shoot. Chloe’s wonderful parents received tailored Christmas card images for family and friends. I’m really blessed to have had the opportunity to shoot Chloe and her gorgeous Mum and Dad! This shoot was one of my many highlights for 2011! Alexander and his mummy Louise were enjoying my company as much as I thoroughly enjoyed theirs. We had a stunning day for weather and the beach was literally empty…Alexander was shy and came out of his lovely little tender shell for me. I could have spent more time with them but little one needed to sleep. What a great age, 19 months and his bond to mum was soo intriguing to capture in all the natural, fun, emotional moments…this is what professional photography is all about, “knowing the moments” and I study my clients and i’m well aware of what they may do next. For a long time now, I’ve been watching my dearest friend Emma suffer from a muscle disease. The Doctors can’t tell Emma which “type of disease strain” it is, the good type or the deadly strain. The symptoms in real time that occur can only help them diagnose the strain of this disease. Of all people, I ask myself, why her?  If you remember, I did a shoot of Emma and her 2 little ones on Balmoral Beach at the beginning of this year, March 25th 2011 to be exact. My first shoot with Em and kids is in the archives section section below under “Personal” in March 2011. I’m in so much awe of this woman, I’ve seen her in great pain and she still smiles. She is losing her voice now, so we communicate via text message, this my makes my heart very heavy.

Words can’t describe my love for her as a friend. We met at Montisorri Mosman Under 3′s and clicked straight off, it really was our quirky humour and understanding to take things in humour that has bonded us together. I decided to do another follow up shoot as time is ticking away and her beautiful little ones are growing up with their loving mum’s touch, affection, laughter, fun, and pure admiration…and I have such a strong urge to capture these moments for her children as I want them to remember her in her physical best. Looking at these images, I look at Em and I think the strength she is mustering up to actually just “breathe” as she has to breathe with a machine at night. The Montisorri mums have been incredible in their charity to help her out in support and I personally  feel simply “gifted” to be able to make the greatest of  memories for Em’s kids, as I really love this dear family. There are many more shots, I will share in time…

Hey, I know first hand, all oils are not the same! Organic Skin Oil by Earth Sisters is about to go boom globally! I’ve just designed and photographed the advertising campaign and images…and I’m quietly…just too excited! This oil is the best on the market…quite simply..it works…NATURALLY, on stretch marks, scars, skin damage and dry skin ageing skin! I’ve been using it on a couple of my scars and they have gonski!  The images below are of the Mia and her Grandma who is the youngest 80 year old fit looking little lady, I’ve ever set my camera on! The love these two have for each other was ENORMOUS! I couldn’t help my self but celebrate these two beautiful creatures by creating the images for the Organic Oil.  The results will be printed and promoted all over the world…Enjoy the images and the oil, it’s all 100% AUZZIE!

Sisters – Vintage Inspired Shoot { Award Winning Photography }

It’s soo special, in fact it’s a privilege for me to do family shoots that involve documenting the development of  the various wonderful Australian families from newborn stage to toddlers and onto young adults. Featured below, is one such family, i love french inspired vintage looks. Jamiee and Claudia simply took to this shoot, like a two little ducks to water! It was a sunny day recently and the area around us was full of people buzzing around, but the girls were just focused on my lens and not distracted at all…i loved this shoot for the calmness and serenity amongst the trees, just how i visualised this shoot to turn out when i was planning it in my mind. Tracey in the last shot, is Claudia and Jamiee’s mum, she’s a great inspiration to me with 3 little ones in tow!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY – 8 day old Lucas { Award Winning Photographer Zahrina }

It’s not everyday i come across a tiny bundle of joy, sooo incrediably cute, i wanted to bundle him up to stay with us!  Little Lucas was only 8 days old when i photographed him in my warm cosy, natural light studio. He really was a little dream, he smiled, burped and then he had us all giggling when he decided he’d try out some little bottom burps! hehe…i just love babies! Rarni drove nearly 1.5 hours to visit my studio for little Lucas to be photographed, this in itself was an honour…so Thank You Rarni and hubbie for making my day and as you can see your visit with Lucas was worthwhile capturing at only 8 days old.

It’s a great pleasure to photograph families!…meeting the wonderful children, babies and parents is a highlight for me. Capturing the varied personalities within the one family is a rewarding challenge. One of the most interesting aspects of shooting families are the combinations of nationalities i am exposed to. We have a melting pot of mixed races in Australia, many many combo deals! the beautiful faces of the children of mixed parents take my breath away. Susan is of chinese background and Mark is of Dutch background… and the kids are soo cute!

From the moment Emma and I met at Montessori under 3′s with our little ones, i felt the greatest warmth for her. Her smile light up our class room with joy. At the time of meeting Emma, she was slowly showing with baby no.2!  Unfortunately my wonderful friend has a nerve/muscle condition which has taken a toll on her fragile frame since i met her. So i decided to take it upon myself to make sure her little ones have wonderful memories of their mum, as the beautiful Emma i first met!…So here she is in bliss with her  2 little cute chops on the stunning Balmoral Beach, Sydney.

Hey, family shoots are fun! To me, we live in a world jammed packed full of families with many different dynamics, twists and turns! But the true test is capturing the synergy of the different personalities and their feelings for each other and present it in a very natural way. I was called to shoot Renee and Stephen recently and i truly loved how they related to each other, made my day! We ended up in ma and pa’s room, it’s just where the kids want to hang out! i must say the light in the room was stunning, not too bright just right…..Who thinks little Edward is a cuttee? tell me! It’s Christmas Time…{Sydney Photographer}

Tis the time to be Merry!…Gorgeous Donna called me last week, requesting Gifts for her family! We organised her family shoot before my morning coffee, ooh boy! i find it a touch harder to focus, so early in the morning without my daily dose of AllPress coffee, which by the way is absolutely all time favourite blend! plug plug! The morning was hectic with traffic buzzing around in the background, but all of us were relaxed as i organised the family to focus on what they wanted to get out of their Christmas break, suddenly Marko piped up and said he will plan something BIG! I found out later charming Marko is big on planning, then I had no trouble getting the attention of my favourite little toddler. During our shoot Marko’s eyes just dazzled just so piercing and his little baby sister Sofia was a complete dream for Dad.

Charming Sebastian is an understatement! At 14 months old Sebastian was full of personality. Sarah’s only request – photograph her family outdoors! After 4 weekends of non stop rain, Sarah and i decided, that’s it, fingers double crossed and we will be rewarded! In fact ,we were rewarded with a great shoot, after a rocky start. We all had a blast! I must say, i just loved watching Mark kissing his beautiful son, this is really special to me, capturing families being families, it’s truly timeless. Being a parent myself, i really see how your own child can change rapidly and it’s so rewarding to reflect on the past and giggle at the memories. During our shoot, little one decided he would try his walking skills and away he went, then he sat down, put on a hat and gave me the CRACKER shot of the shoot! What a dream….i’m always very grateful to meet such nice people like Sarah and Mark, who both cried when they first saw these shots and more in my studio. Hugs ‘n kisses! Zz

When Raj and Soni decided to descend upon my studio one bright sunny day in November, i thought, hmmm, this is not going to be my typical photo shoot with a typical family@! Well, i was right, team Raju as i have come accustomed to knowing them by, are certainly one fun loving family. I spent 6 hours photographing them recently and literally i was laughing ALL the time in between directing them to look down the barrel. This shoot was magnificent to say the least, little baby Raeya decided to sleep during our studio shoot and gorgeous Rianna decided she has a future in Bollywood! I love them to bits and pieces and they certainly make good lookin (stunning!) BOLLYWOOD babies PS: Raj & Soni…Taji my 2yr old son is in lurrrve with Miss Rianna! xox
